Gordon Cobb, the aide to PEI Innovation Minister Richard Brown has admitted the Ghiz government was hiding the truth from Islanders.Premier Ghiz has proven himself to be a smooth talking, lying used-car salesman. That’s not fair: there are lots of honest used-car salesman. Joke: how do you know when Premier Ghiz is lying? When he opens his mouth.
For months Brown and Ghiz have been showing up all polished and clean with the Big Lies for Islanders. Now those lies are laid bare for all to see with Gordon Cobb.
Big Lie # 1 – “PNP’s helped small business on PEI.”
According to Cobb, who was on the inside,
“A good program evaluation would give you indicators of what you delivered. Where did it (money) go? What sector did it go to? Geographically where did it go?”
It lined the pocket of Liberal Millionaires and bought expensive luxuries like Tim Bank’s Porsche and luxury SUV’s.
Big Lie # 2 – it was a private business arrangement between two businesses.
“Mr Cobb says it was known within government that Mr Dow “was in charge of PNP and he made decisions about what happened with the management and direction of the PNP program.” Mr Dow is a close confidant of the premier.”
CBC John Jeffery, himself on the take, admitted on CBC Compass that the Premier’s office was running the show.
We had heard that Billy Dow was the go-to-guy. He is also rumoured to be the one hiding Premier Ghiz’s stake in the scandal through blind-trust numbered companies, some in Lichtenstein.
Big Lie # 3 – PNP creates jobs
See Big Lie # 1 and Gordon’s own words.
Big Lie # 4 – there is not government money in the PNP (see Premier Ghiz on Compass last week)
According to Cobb,
“He also believes the Ghiz government has exposed the Island to potentially hundreds of millions in liability, with virtually no system in place to track the efficiency of the program, if foreign nationals nominated by PEI are ultimately rejected for a Canadian visa.”
In Nova Scotia the government had to refund 75% of their PNP money.
Let’s see that puts Island taxpayers on the hook for $300 million in the biggest money laundering scandal in PEI.
Unravelling
The Liberal Government of Robert Ghiz is headed into history riding the biggest scandal in PEI.
There are lots of good and honest people in the government like Cobb. They can’t be bought with bribes and bonuses.
Good looks and smooth words are not going to put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

If Tim Banks owns the red porsche, who owns the blue one he is driving today, and it cost more????
