U2 Album leaked – don’t tell anyone where you got it

No Line on the Horizon
No Line from the Horizon, still U2 but is it Joshua Tree?

I’m not supposed to tell you how (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) to listen to the “official leak” of U2’s new CD. So I’m not going to print the link that I used.
(link went dead – see the end of article)
Is that it up there? I’m not good at hyperlinks and stuff like that. If you click on it, you have to promise not to give it to anyone else and to buy the CD when it comes out
.
As of February 18th, 100,000 people had downloaded the CD from Bit Torrent. Mine, um er, the one I didn’t download from that link, is virus free.
Starting yesterday you can stream if from MySpace.
It’s all so silly. Without some internet buzz the CD will lie like a dying whale on the beach of musical life. At least we get to feel a little badness.
You be the judge if it’s worth keeping in rotation.
That concert rumor seems to jibe with the Guardian article today. Carver is out; MacKay is out.

Did I miss the ferry? Who is MacKay?

LMFAO. We’ll see. Every radio station is playing it and they’re all getting inundated with repeat requests. Every review of the entire album has been favorable. There’s taste, and there’s subjectivity, but one has to grant that this is a great album and one of the year’s best releases by any band. Does it top Joshua Tree? I don’t see the need for comparisons, and JT is my favorite album. But this one is damn fine material.

Apparently the link has gone dead.
Try this from Bit Torrent Bit Torrent No Line on the Horizon
Of course, I am not endorsing downloading the CD nor am I endorsing buying it. However, recent buzz says CD’s that have free download cycles do better in sales on iTunes.
Personally, if I want something I always buy it. MP3’s give you this pinched sound. Vinyl is the best sound and CD is next to it with SACD sort of maybe.
